ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE AND LEGISLATION ACTIVITIES ON THE PROTECTION OF MONUMENTS IN EASTERN HALICHINA DURING THE AUSTRIAN-HUNGARIAN PERIOD

The article examines the stages of formation of the organizational structure and legislative foundations of monument protection activities in Eastern Galicia during the Austro-Hungarian period against the background of national processes. It is shown that the formation of the organizational structure in Eastern Galicia took place synchronously with the processes in Vienna and was controlled from the center. However, the peculiarity was that at the end of the 19th century.

PROBLEMS OF SCULPTURES’S RESTORATION MADE OF ROMAN CEMENT IN THE ARCHITECTURE OF LVIV OF THE SECOND HALF OF THE 19TH - BEGINNING OF THE 20TH CENTURY

For the architecture of Lviv II half 19 - the beginning of the 20th century characteristic use of roman cement as a decorative material. Thanks to this, a significant amount of sculptural decor in Lviv during this period was made using roman cement. According to various classifications, architectural decor is architectural, monumental or decorative- monumental sculpture, which in turn is divided into relief and three-dimensional sculpture. Depending on the type of sculpture, the methods of its manufacture, mounting and placement on the facade differ.

RESTORATION OF THE WEST SQUARE TOWER OFCASEMATES OF THE CITADEL IN LVIV

The design and construction of the Citadel fortification complex in Lviv took place after the revolutionary events of 1848. The creation of the citadel was one of the tasks of the order of the Austrian authorities to build fortifications for garrisons and barracks in large cities. The need to build new defense complexes was also associated with a change in the strategy and tactics of warfare. The plan of the Austrian General Staff under the letter "R" was caused by the threats looming from the neighbor from the north - Rossia.

ESTABLISHMENT OF NEW MILITARY CEMETERIES IN THE HISTORICAL TOWNS OF GALICIA

Cemeteries are an integral part of the cultural landscape of every city or town, evidence of the ideology and spiritual life of their time. Military cemeteries may not be in every settlement, but they very clearly record their time, history, ideology. Today we have just such an important and historical moment and we have a war again in our country. Which means dead heroes. And this in turn means new military cemeteries.

PRESERVATION AND REVALUATION OF DEFENSIVE FORTRESSES OF THE UPPER POLISH GATE IN KAMIANETS-PODILSKYI

The study reveals the historical and cultural significance, preservation and revaluation of the complex of fortifications of the Upper Polish Gate in Kamianets-Podilskyi. The history of the complex, which was formed during the XVI-XVII centuries and includes the Kushnir Tower, the Wind Gate, the Turkish Bastions, the city's defensive walls, the Lithuanian Tower. The scientific novelty is that for the first time an attempt was made to comprehensively outline the milestones in the history of the northern defensive hub of the Old Town of Kamianets-Podilskyi.

INVASION INTO ARCHITECTURAL STRUCTURE OF CONSTRUCTION OF THE CENTRAL HISTORICAL AREA OF THE TOWN OF STRYI

The level of preservation of architectural structure of the construction of the central part of the town of Stryi is analyzed. The value of separate objects that are considered to get a status as a monuments to be protected is studied. The analysis of the invasion of the architectural building and its urban structure by modern unprofessional buildings, the cutting of parcels according to historical cadastres is carried out. The museum in the open air in the central part of Stryi is suggested to be created.

SCIENTIFIC PRE-PROJECT STUDIES AND FORMATION OF THE CONSERVATION CONCEPTION FOR THE ASSEMBLY HALL IN THE MAIN BUILDING OF THE LVIV POLYTECHNIC NATIONAL UNIVERSITY

The article highlights the results of the first round of conservation works to return the lost image of the assembly hall (meeting hall of the great senate) – the main building of the oldest building of the university. The purpose of the works is to create the methodology basis to restore the wall painting and sculpture decoration of the hall, to return it to its original authentic appearance from 1880-1884. The decoration of the hall was realized in 1884 by the artist and architect Ivan Dolynskyi, according to the idea of the first rector, architect Julian Zahariewicz.

MASONRY OBJECTS OF CULTURAL HERITAGE MADE FROM THE NATURAL STONE OF THE LEFT BANK OF TRANSNISTRIA: CONDITION AND PROBLEMS OF RESTORATION

The article considers historical industrial, sacred and residential buildings and structures made of natural stone, located on the left bank of the Dniester within the Eastern Podillya. The paper fixates the technical condition, characterizes the features of the architectural appearance and design solutions of the masonry of the preserved objects.

THE RESTORATION PROGRAM OF THE WHITESTONE SCULPTURE OF YAN NEPOMUK OF THE BEGINNING 19-TH CENTURY FROM VILLAGE VELYKA VYSHENKA, YAVORIW DISTRIKT, LVIV REGION

The following article is the first attempt to analyze and systematize the sculptural images of St. John of Nepomuk in the late XVIII-XIX centuries in Galicia, determine the accurate location to suggest the authorship of the work and develop a restoration program to put into effect work on the monument.

THE RESTORATION PROGRAM OF THE WHITESTONE SCULPTURE OF THE VIRGIN OF THE IMMACULATE CONCEPTION FROM THE VILLAGE OF DOBRYANY HORODOK DISTRICT

The article demonstrates the peculiarities of the artistic sculpture of the Virgin Mary in the sculpture of the late XIX-first half of the XX century. The main positions of the restoration program and the course of its implementation are revealed.
