ARCHITECTURE OF MILITARY MEMORIAL. THE EXPERIENCE OF THEIR DESIGN IN UKRAINE AND IN THE WORLD

The article provides a comprehensive analysis of the historical prerequisites for the formation of memorial architecture and modern trends in the design of memorial objects, in particular military cemeteries, which reflect the memory of historical events and fallen heroes. Special attention is paid to the experience of creating such objects in Ukraine and abroad, covering memorial complexes in Kyiv, Odesa, Cherkasy and Lviv, as well as in Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Germany and the USA.

PROBLEMS OF SCULPTURES’S RESTORATION MADE OF ROMAN CEMENT IN THE ARCHITECTURE OF LVIV OF THE SECOND HALF OF THE 19TH - BEGINNING OF THE 20TH CENTURY

For the architecture of Lviv II half 19 - the beginning of the 20th century characteristic use of roman cement as a decorative material. Thanks to this, a significant amount of sculptural decor in Lviv during this period was made using roman cement. According to various classifications, architectural decor is architectural, monumental or decorative- monumental sculpture, which in turn is divided into relief and three-dimensional sculpture. Depending on the type of sculpture, the methods of its manufacture, mounting and placement on the facade differ.

RESTORATION OF THE GATES OF THE MONASTERY COMPLEX OF SAINT GEORGE IN LVIV

The main gates were intended for the passage or passage of a large number of people in public, defensive or sacred complexes. They also had a symbolic meaning. In monastery and temple complexes, the main gate served as a boundary between secular and divine space with high spiritual values, a place of prayer and repentance. THE RESTORATION PROGRAM OF THE WHITESTONE SCULPTURE OF YAN NEPOMUK OF THE BEGINNING 19-TH CENTURY FROM VILLAGE VELYKA VYSHENKA, YAVORIW DISTRIKT, LVIV REGION

The following article is the first attempt to analyze and systematize the sculptural images of St. John of Nepomuk in the late XVIII-XIX centuries in Galicia, determine the accurate location to suggest the authorship of the work and develop a restoration program to put into effect work on the monument.

The article demonstrates the peculiarities of the artistic sculpture of the Virgin Mary in the sculpture of the late XIX-first half of the XX century. The main positions of the restoration program and the course of its implementation are revealed.

RESTORATION, CHEMICAL AND TECHNOLOGICAL RESEARCH OF STONE SCULPTURE OF ST. YAN NEPOMUTSKY FROM THE VILLAGE OF CHABARIVKA, VASYLKIV DISTRICT, TERNOPIL REGION

The sculptural composition originates from the village of Chabarivka, Vasylkiv district, Ternopil region (since 2015). On the map of 1779-1783 by Friedrich von Mieg, the sculpture of St. John of Nepomuk is marked with a red cross, located in the eastern part of the village stretched along the road, opposite the manor. The road from Kopychyntsi to Husiatyn passed to the north of the settlement.

Stylistic evolution of the lviv sculptural and architectural ensembles in the 19th and early 20th centuries

This research is focused on art-stylistic, formative and technological peculiarities of the sculptural works of Lviv from the 19th to early 20 centuries. It analyzes the character of interaction of architecture and sculpture as a phenomenon of the synthesis of spatial arts.
