Geology and prospects of hydrocarbons in the transition zone of the shallow water of the Apsheron field

The Apsheron field area presents the most promising prospect within the Shallow Water Transition Zone of the Apsheron archipelago across all potential reservoir levels. This assessment aims to identify the exploration potential of the area and the associated new business opportunities. The region encompasses water depths ranging from 10 to 20 meters. Methodologically, we utilized available new seismic data, evaluated reference well data, and considered other geological factors within the Petrel program.

Earth crust of eastern segment of Ukrainian Carpathians in the regional profile RP-5 zone: structure, geodynamics, oil and gas bearing

The purpose of the work is to present widely to the scientific community and analyze in detail the structure and oil and gas bearing of the Bukovyna lithosphere (the eastern part of the Carpathian region of Ukraine) based on the unique data on the regional RWМ-CDP profile RP-5 and on the neighboring regional profiles with the involvement of other geological and geophysical data.

Cyclicity, lithofacial features and sedimentary environments of eifelian deposits of Dobrudja foredeep

Purpose. Demonstration of the lithofacial structure and reconstruction of the sedimentation conditions of the Eifelian deposits of the Biloliskyy block of the Dobrudja foredeep in the aspect of the formation of productive horizons and the localization of perspective objects. Methods. The complex of lithological, paleo-oceanographic, lithophysica, and well logging explorations.

Pokuttia deep fault and its influence on tectonics and the oil- and gas-bearing of the south-eastern segment of the Carpathians

Objective. The objective of this study is to analyze the influence of the Pokuttia deep fault on tectonics and the oil- and gas-bearing of the south-eastern part of the Ukrainian Carpathians.  Methodology. It is contained in the detailed complex analysis of the geological-geophysical data on the given area.

Gravity and magnetic complex for oil and gas prospecting

Purpose. The aim of research is the search for oil and gas gravity magnetic prospecting in the Middle Kur depression Azerbaijan. Methodology. Methods of field work is to conduct a gravity magnetic observations along the rectilinear sections parallel placed on the study area in order to obtain correlated relationships between the respective fields. In this step of observation, mainly applied to 100 m, and the distance between the profiles - 500-700 m. Results.

Pequliarities of geological structure and geodynamic evolution of south-eastern part of Volyn-Podolsk plate in the context of hydrocarbon potential

Data on the history of geological evolution of the south-eastern part of zone of junction of Volyn-Podolsk plate and Carpathian foredeep are generalized. The main structural and tectonic elements are describe which are formed at different stages of development of this area. Geodynamic factors of formation of hydrocarbon traps are analyzed and the main prospective areas are selected.

Selection of informative indicators for estimation of hydrocarbon potential of local objects in boryslav oil field

The indicators of geological structure and the local oil and gas bearing in the Boryslav oil field were studied and analyzed. Using the mathematical statistics (t-Student criterion), the extent of their influence on the nature of oil and gas structures was established. It was found out that the structural factor and the distance from the axis of the local structure to a deep fault determine the conclusion on the presence of oil and gas in the local objects of the oil field.

Peculiarities of the anomalous magnetic field in the areas of hydrocarbon fields in the Carpathian foredeep

Purpose. Identifying of anomalous magnetic field peculiarities upon oil-and-gas bearing structures in the Carpathian Feoredeep and its relationships with oil and gas deposits. Methodology. Measuring of geomagnetic field T total vector modulus during surface magnetic survey on a geomagnetic profiles network. Measuring of core magnetic susceptibility of searching-prospecting wells. Investigations were done for 9 hydrocarbon deposits and 6 perspective structures in the NW part of Bilche-Volytsa zone, Carpathian Foredeep. Results. The analysis of anomalous magnetic field is shown.
