The seismic-historic microzoning as a fundamental complement to seismic hazard evaluation

This paper discusses the needs to start a review process about the historical seismicity in Venezuela, from a different perspective to that used for compilation of already existent catalogues, with an interpretation intended to be more precise than exhibited by isoseismic curves assigned to most important earthquakes.

Correlation analysis of connection between the dynamics of solar plasma and generation of the earthquakes

To study the 11-year Sun dynamics as an external process that influences the dynamics of the tectonic plates of the planet Earth held a lot of studies based on such a large time duration of this period. But as is known, the frequency of the destruction of tectonic plates may have other timing parameters that may be shorter or longer than 11 or 22. This paper presents a correlation analysis of short-period permissible minimum time interval of the earthquake processes and dynamics of the solar plasma.

Reconstruction of the tectonic stress field before and after Japan earthquake 11 march 2011

Purpose. The purpose of the research is to study the features of the tectonic stress field before and after the 2011 Japan earthquake. Methodology. The reconstruction of the tectonic stress field is carried out on the basis of cataclastic analysis method of earthquake focal mechanism. The method allows us to define the tectonic stress tensor parameters and increments of quasi-plastic deformation. Results.

Comparative characteristics of parameters and variations of Vise vector at the permanent geophysical station Nyzhnye Selyshche and magnetic observatory Hurbanovo

Purpose. The aim of investigations are comparative analysis of magnetic-variation parameters series from permanent geophysical station N.Selysche (Carpathians backdeep, Ukraine) and magnetic observatory Hurbanovo (West Carpathians, Slovak), definition of anomalous effects with regional features and studies of their relations with seismicity. Methodology. For comparative analysis were applied results of geomagnetic field variations records during 2011 from permanent geophysical station N.Selysche (Ukraine) and magnetic observatory Hurbanovo (Slovak).

Geophysical observations in Zakarpattia and their results

Purpose. The aim of the research is the analysis of the results of complex geophysical observations in the area Oach fault, the study of the influence of meteorological parameters on seismodynamic condition, geodynamic connection parameters with parameter variations of geophysical fields, calculations of the parameters of the dynamic nature in deformation processes in the region, which can be used as characteristics of the geophysical processes of the earth's surface in the zone of possible local earthquakes. Methodology.

Geophysical insights on the structure and geodynamic evolution of the se Carpathians and related foreland in the context of the Black Sea opening

The paper brings into discussion geophysical evidence for jointly explaining the unusual craton seismicity in front of the SE Carpathians and the upper mantle intermediate-depth earthquakes in the Vrancea zone within the frame of the geodynamic environment generated by the W Black Sea opening and further evolution of the lithosphere expelled towards NW by rifting.

Researches of length of the zone of Teisseyre-Tornkquist on the territory of the Western Ukraine

Purpose. The purpose of researches - to track traces of a zone of Teysseyre - Tornkvista (zone TT) in the territory of the western oil-and-gas region of Ukraine. Reasonable trace of the zone of Teysseyre-Tornkvista has important scientific and practical value. However still there are no unambiguous treatments of its situation in the territory of the West of Ukraine. The majority of researchers continue it from the territory of Poland rejecting to the southwest a little, and hiding under the Carpathians later. Width of this zone isn't established.

Results of determination of horizontal deformations of the Earth’s crust of Europe according to the data of GNSS-observations and their relation with the tectonic structure

The aim. The aims of this study were: to calculate the parameters of horizontal deformation of Earth’s crust of Europe on the basis of annual velocity vectors of the horizontal displacement of permanent GNSS - stations, calculated according to the GNSS - observations during 2000 – 2010; to study the distribution and changes of horizontal deformations and earth's crust in Europe changes from 2000 to 2010 and to establish their relationship with the tectonic structure and the manifestation of seismic activity in the actual region. Methods.

About migration of the extreme values of velocities of the crust dilatation in Europe

GNSS has become common practice in determining movements and deformations of the earth crust in the global and regional scale. The results of observations at 147 permanent GNSS-stations located in Europe have been used to calculate the parameters of crust deformation. Using the Delaunay triangulation, our study region was divided into a network of triangles. Calculated velocity of the dilatation are belonging to the centers of the elementary triangle which was divided our study region. Schemes of the dilatations distribution in Europe from 2000 to 2010 have been created.

By the earthquake prediction in areas of earth crust tension on measurements of stations of global navigation systems

Objective. The research objective is to determine relationship between crust tension forces and forces that operate in near-Earth space and earthquakes in entrails of the Earth, based on that was identifying opportunities for short-term earthquake prediction. Methods. Accumulation of earthquakes scores statistical information, their location and display time, as well as moon and sun (own observations, data from literature and Internet-resources) location information. Analysis of obtained data its comparison. Results.
