Relationship of the spatial distribution of seismicity with the tectonic structure of the Transcarpathian depression

In the paper discusses the features of long-term seismicity (1961-2010) the territory of Transcarpathian depression and separate seismoactive zones (A, B and C).  The relationship of these zones with the main tectonic elements of depression is set. It is proved that the boundary between zones A and B passes through Oash deep fault.

Seismicity and some features of seismotectonics of Ukrainian Carpathians

On the basis of carried out specification of coordinates and depths of local earthquakes sources which was made by using of new methods the general spatial analysis of seismicity of the Ukrainian Carpathians and its concrete structural-tectonic zones was made. The distribution of earthquakes on the depth including on the Mizhgirya – Vyshkov – Shevchenko – Dolyna section was studied and some features of seismotectonics in the area around the north-east of connection of Oash and Transcarpathian deep faults was traced.
 

Predictive cut of lithosphere of the central part of The Serednyoprydniprovskyy Megablock on geological and geophysical data

In 2005 the Dnepropetrovsk geophysical expedition ”Dneprogeofizika” had been performed profile works by methods of the audio-magnetotellurgic sounding (AМТS) and МТS in a complex with other geophysical methods in the central part of the Srednepridneprovsky megablock of the US. Observations were carried out by equipment "V-5 System 2000" of the Canadian company "Phoenix Geophysics Limited". The vertical differentiation of the lithosphere which is shown both in size of effective resistance, and in change of geoelectric anomaly from horizontal to essentially inclined has been established.

Processes of faulting in the sources of perceptible earthquakes in the Precarpathians and Transcarpathians

Purpose. Getting new knowledge about the processes in the centers and focal areas of perceptible  earthquakes in the Pre-Carpathians  And  Trans-Carpathians . Methodology. To study the processes of faulting we used a technique which is based on the notion of the source as  a moving, extended source.The parameters of azimuth hodograph τ (Az) - travel time of focal waves Pi –are used to determine  the length of the rupture, the rate of its ripping, the propagation direction of the rupture in the focal zone of the earthquake.

Seismicity of Olesko area: ecological aspects

Earthquake of Olesky area and surrounding areas within the Lviv region and in particular some features of earthquakes in V. Mosty (1875) and Komarno (2007) as well as influence on a given territory from Vrancea zone earthquakes (in particular, the earthquake in 1838) are analyzed. According to foreign reports about the influence of the method of hydraulic fracturing on seismicity the conclusion about possible changes of seismic regime of the area and increase the possible danger to water resources of Lviv region from shale gas extraction were made. 

Seismicity of central part of Ukrainian shield in 2007 - 2013 period

Purpose. To perform a comparative analysis of record forms and earthquake spectrograms and explosions in quarries and mines what located in area of Kriviy Rih iron-ore basin (Kryvbas) for detection of seismic event signs of different nature this region with magnitude Mb ≥ 3,0 is the research object.
