Investigation of the Sorption Capacity of Polyvinylpyrrolidone Copolymers As the Basis of Hydrogel Cosmetic Masks with Plant Biomass Extracts

The possibility of using hydrogels based on copolymers of polyvinylpyrrolidone with 2 hydroxyethylmethacrylate to saturate them with plant extracts was established. Hydrogel materials were obtained with extracts of Calendula officinalis and Arnica montana. The sorption capacity of the hydrogels regarding the extract data was determined.

SYNTHESIS OF POLYVINYLPYROLIDONE COPOLYMERS IN THE PRESENCE OF TWO-COMPONENT INITIATION SYSTEMS

The paper presents the results of the study of copolymerization of 2-hydroxyethylmethacrylate (HEMA) with polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) under the action of two-component initiation systems of iron (II) sulfate/radical type initiator. The influence of the nature of the radical initiator (In) in the FeSO4/In system on the behavior of the polymerization of HEMA/PVP compositions, structural parameters of the polymer matrix network and properties of hydrogels based on pHEMA-gr-PVP copolymers were established.

PECULIARITIES OF OBTAINING AND PROPERTIES OF COMBINED HYDROGEL MEMBRANES BASED ON POLYCOPROAMIDE AND POLYVINYLPYRROLIDONE COPOLYMERS

The research results of surface adsorption magnitude and tensile strength of combined polyamide-hydrogel membranes, depending on the content of the hydrogel lining membrane are presented in the article. It was found that the molecular weight variation of PVP, both in the structure of copolymer and in modifying blend, as well as the time of staying hydrogel film in the modifying solution allow to regulate the properties of combined membranes directly, in particular, its strength and permeability.

STRUCTURE FORMATION PECULIARITIES OF NICKEL-FILLED POLYVINYLPYRROLIDONE COPOLYMERS DURING POLYMERIZATION WITH SIMULTANEOUS Ni2+ REDUCTION

The course of the grafted polymerization of 2-hydroxyethylmethacrylate on polyvinylpyrrolidone with the formation of a reticulated copolymer with simultaneously chemical reduction of nickel ions is confirmed. The influence of the reduction process on the structural parameters of the polymeric matrix – the grafting efficiency and the content of polyvinylpyrrolidone in the copolymer, the molecular weight between crosslinks is established. The influence of the presence of polymer-monomer composition components on the particles formation of nickel filler is investigated.

Investigation of the kinetics of graft polymerization in a thin layer of 2-hydroxiethyl methacrylate with polyvinylpyrrolidone

The kinetics of polymerization of 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate with polyvinylpyrrolidone in a thin layer were studied. The dependences of the conversion for polymerization HEMA with PVP in mass and in solvent were determined. (Co)polymerization exotherms for the reaction in mass were calculated. The reaction order by initiator, monomer and polymer was determined and the mathematical dependence of the total rate of grafted copolymerization of HEMA to PVP was calculated.

Composite hydrogel metal-filled materials in many cases during the operation are used in the form of films, in medicine these are membrane different kind, of transdermal drugs, implants, elements of medical equipment intended for installation of a reliable contact with the human body, the instrument making-elements of different sensors (humidity, temperature, pressure, concentration of gaseous and liquid products), etc.

THE FORMATION OF COMPOSITE FILM HYDROGEL MEMBRANES WITH POLYAMIDE LAYER

Polymer hydrogels, which are close to biological cells in their physical state, have proven to be effective in medicine and pharmacy. However, in practice the wide usage of hydrogel products is limited by their low mechanical strength, even though generally the application of hydrogels has a great potential . Recently, the interest to the polymer hydrogel materials, that have high mechanical strength in a hydrated state along with the hydrophilic and diffusion-transport properties, has increased.

Формування та властивості композиційних поліамід–гідрогелевих мембран

Розроблено методику одержання композиційних полімерних мембран модифікуванням поверхні гідрогелів тонким шаром полімеру. Підібрані склади і синтезовані ультратонкі плівкові мембрани з сумішей ПА-6/ПВП методом “сухого формування” з розчину. Одержано  композиційні полімерні мембрани на основі рідкостуктурованих кополімерів ГЕМА/ПВП, які зміцнені наношаром ПА-6/ПВП і досліджені їх експлуатаційні характеристики. Встановлено, що варіювання складами гідрогелевого і модифікувального шарів і режимами формування композиційних мембран можна направлено регулювати їхню міцність і проникність.

Фоточутливість композицій 2-гідроксіетилметакрилат- полівінілпіролідон-сіль заліза (ііі) та її вплив на структуру і властивості продуктів полімеризації

The photosensitivity of 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate- polyvinyl pirrolidone- iron salt (ІІІ) compositions with different content of polyvinyl pirrolidone and its influence on the structure and properties of polymerization products is investigated. The results of research make it possible to correct photosensitivity of mentioned compositions and properties of the polymers on their basis depending on changes in the polyvinyl pirrolidone content.

Ефект параметра розчинності у суспензійній полімеризації композицій метакрилових естерів з полівінілпіролідоном

The effect of the solubility parameter on the regularities of the hydrogel suspension obtaining based on the copolymers of 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate and glіcidil metakrilat with polyvinylpirrolydone is investigated. The influence of the solvent nature on the diffusion processes in the suspension polymerization, the dispersion characteristics of hydrogel particles and kinetics of polymerization is determined.
