The covering of scientific controversy is considered as the specifics of scientific journalism. The author considers controversy of the subjects of media texts on science as one of the important ways to highlight the conflicts in journalistic materials. Effective presentation of scientific controversial information in the media serves as a reserve and an instrument for 23 the development and support of interest in science, promotion of scientific knowledge among the general public, and increasing of scientific media literacy.

The article deals with the journalist covering of conflict processes. The conflict is regarded as the important content- and form-driving element of journalistic texts. The author analyzes how the field of conflict is represented with content, genre and plot-compositional means of journalism. The peculiarities of media coverage of such parameters of conflict processes as structure, typology, reasons, dynamics, and functions are clarified.

In the article, the authors reveal the essence of information warfare; focus on the basic understanding of this phenomenon. The article acknowledges that in the scientific literature information war is interpreted, in particular, as rivalry in the informational and psychological sphere for the influence and control over resources; informational influence on making political decisions; a modern conflict that is inherent in the post-industrial society era; a conflict involving the use of information weapons, etc.

This paper is devoted to the research and analysis of design conflicts that appear in collaborative desing due to various technical and organizational factors. The dynamical conflict detection model is proposed.

The article examines the historical and legal reasons for the conflict in the former
Yugoslavia in comparison with the conflict in eastern Ukraine. It is proved that in some cases

Globalization challenges of the contemporary world highlight the problem of interaction between civilizations. The search for ways of relations between countries that would not threaten the identities of local civilizations and the preservation of their values is ongoing. In the twentieth century, there is a real danger that the main form of interaction between civilizations will be a conflict.

The impact of the Ukrainian and Russian conflict on the modern state of world order and the efficiency of global security system was dwelled upon. The peculiarities of solving this conflict on the level of multilateral diplomacy, namely at UNGA, which corresponds to international practice, were demonstrated. The benchmark method was applied to achieve the main objective of the research: to reveal characteristics of modern transformation of power balance and to define the role of Ukraine.
