The article considers the problematic issues of the interaction of globalization processes on the development of world crime. Globalization as a modern global trend has both positive and negative effects on the development of national and international law. One of the most serious negative consequences of globalization is the growth of crime in the world, as well as the emergence of new, more dangerous forms of crime, which is not limited to national borders and becomes transnational in nature. The impact of globalization on this process is not direct, but indirect, through economic, political and other factors of crime growth. Recognition of international and national crime as one of the threats to the stability of world life involves the development and regulation by states in national law of common principles of legal policy, as well as joint efforts to create legal instruments to unify international and national mechanisms to combat crime. In our time, the world community is faced with a serious problem of international, and in particular transnational, crime. This is an unprecedented increase in the terrorist threat by historical standards; aggravation of political, religious and interethnic conflicts, during which there are mass and gross violations of human rights; internationalization of organized crime in the field of drug distribution, human trafficking, arms smuggling, which is accompanied by corruption and legalization of criminal proceeds, etc. The process of intensive criminalization of public relations in the globalized world and its various regions and countries is one of the signs of our time. Studies of global and regional trends and patterns of modern crime and its conditionality by globalization processes in the world are of particular relevance.
