The Plasma-Induced Formation of PVP-Coated Silver Nanoparticles and Usage in Water Purification

The contact non-equilibrium low-temperature plasma technique is used to synthesize silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) employing polyvinyl pyrrolidone (PVP) as a capping agent. Influences of PVP concentration on the formation efficiency of silver nanoparticle, their average size and stability have been studied. The synthesized silver nanoparticles had a significant antibacterial activity against two strains of Gram bacteria. Silver nanoparticles (AgNPs)-alginate composite beads with different PVP concentration were synthesized as materials for water purification.

STUDYING THE INFLUENCE OF SYNTHESIS PARAMETERS ON THE MAGNETIC PROPERTIES OF CoNi FERRITES

The influence of synthesis conditions on saturation magnetization and coercive force of NiCo ferrites, which were obtained under the action of low-temperature contact nonequilibrium plasma (CNP), is investigated. The main influencing factors were the initial pH of the solution, the treatment temperature and the duration of plasma treatment. Mathematical equations adequately describe the obtained dependences. The results showed that the pH of the reaction medium is the parameter that most affects the magnetic hysteresis for samples obtained by processing CNP.

Hydrogen Sulfide Decomposition in Ultrahigh-Frequency Plasma

The effect of gas rate on the plasma discharge stability and energy values of hydrogen sulfide decomposition has been established in plasma chemical reactor. Processes taking place in a swirling flow of hydrogen sulfide during its plasmolysis have been analyzed. Plasmotrone basic hydrodynamic model has been suggested.

High Performance Liquid Chromatographic Determination of Bupropion Using H-Clinoptilolite as a Sorbent for Plasma and Urine Purification

The coupling of solid-phase extraction (SPE) using H-clinoptilolite as an adsorbent with a high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) method was developed for the high efficiency enrichment and rapid determination of bupropion in plasma and urine. The effect of the adsorbent particles size and pH on adsorption behavior of bupropion to H-clinoptilolite was evaluated. The experimental conditions of the sorbent preparation were developed, the effective solvents for the sorbent conditioning were chosen. The optimal eluent for bupropion extraction by H-clinoptilolite was chosen.

Methods of Parameters Calculation for Wastes High-Temperature Plasma Processing

The article presents the methodology of plasma parameters calculation for different ratios of its constituents and taking into account that plasma jet is both a source of thermal energy and a part of initial reaction mixture for various physical and chemical transformations, in particular, those associated with processing of different solid wastes. As the methodology application example carbon conversion by steam-and-air plasma jet is investigated
