SPECIFICS OF PRESENTATION OF INFORMATION ABOUT RUSSIA'S WAR AGAINST UKRAINE ON THE RESOURCE OF THE “ASSOCIATED PRESS” INFORMATION AGENCY

Russia’s full-scale war against Ukraine has shaken stability and peace in the world. The daily destruction of infrastructure as a result of enemy shelling, the deaths of military and civilians, missile terror and other events at the front pose a threat not only to Ukraine but to the entire world. That is why this topic is in the field of view of all quality media in Ukraine and other countries, especially the United States. After all, it is America that is our main partner and actively assists in the fight against the enemy.

LANGUAGE TOLERANCE IN THE NAMES OF ELDERLY PEOPLE: POSSIBILITIES OF MEDIA IN THE FORMATION AND DESTRUCTION OF STEREOTYPES

Modern mass media significantly influence the perception of certain social groups. Journalistic standards require adherence to the principle of language tolerance, avoid words and expressions that contribute to the formation of negative stereotypes. In this context, the study of age names used in the media is relevant. This aspect of research on language tolerance is not in the focus of special interest of researchers, in particular, given the deep rootedness of names with pejorative semes in everyday vocabulary in various fields, so speakers do not think about the meaning of tokens.

THE ROLE OF INSTAGRAM IN POPULARIZING JOURNALISTIC CONTENT

The social network Instagram has long gone beyond the entertainment platform where you can only share photos and short captions to them. Now it is a full-fledged resource for popularizing your own content and sharing it on other social platforms, in particular Facebook. Since its foundation in 2010, this social network regularly optimizes its functions, which simplifies the work for users. Today, every popular domestic media outlet, as well as many powerful persons of the state, is registered in Instagram and get things working well here.

SCIENTIFIC VS ENTERTAINMENT CONTENT IN UKRAINIAN ENVIRONMENTAL TV DISCOURSE: PROBLEMS AND FEATURES

The article explores the coverage of topics of ecology in the news programs of Ukrainian television. Based on the study of news releases on the all-Ukrainian TV channel “1+1” and the specialized TV channel “ECO TV”, it emphasizes the importance of media discourse for the promotion of ecological knowledge in order to form a general environmental culture, environmental awareness and pro-ecological behavior. In general, there is a segment of scientific content in the modern Ukrainian environmental discourse, but its volume is insignificant compared to entertainment.

The geopolitical catastrophes of the twentieth century have called into question the postulate of the concept that everyone is rational and seeks to find the truth, guided only by reason. Throughout the history of the development of information dissemination channels, we have constantly observed attempts by the state or other strong organizations to regulate, limit their activities – from preventive (censorship) to repressive, and often a mixture of them.

PECULIARITIES OF FAKE MEDIA MESSAGES (ON THE EXAMPLE OF RUSSIAN FAKES ABOUT UKRAINE)

Information wars have long been used as a full-fledged weapon against the enemy, using both manipulation and completely fake messages. The methods used to disseminate false media messages by their authors are completely different, but the goal is almost always the same - to make the target audience that consumes information, believe and be influenced.

USING PUBLIC OPINION POLLS IN THE COVERAGE OF THE 2020 LOCAL ELECTIONS IN TV NEWS

For many Ukrainians, the “window” into the world of news is television, especially television news. Having studied the news programs of all-Ukrainian channels, it can be noted that despite broadcasting local elections facts on all TV channels, they did not get such great media interest as the presidential or parliamentary ones, which may indicate little attention of central media to local politics.

Media and Inter-Confessional Conflicts: the Problem, Concepts and Visions

The article analyzes the topic of interfaith conflicts in the media. Attention is paid to the relevance of the research, which is caused by the processes of church and religious life of the state. Another reason for the urgency is due to the internal political processes in Ukraine. These processes are shaped by certain socio-political shifts (electoral processes, revolutions, etc.), as well as Russia’s geopolitical influence on the state through the Church. Actually, these aspects of the problem can be distinguished from journalistic materials. They are also the basis of visions.

How to reach communication: to the issues for the protection of human rights and freedom in the information sphere

The article presents legislative changes to the Law on the Print Media, including the Media Act and the Misinformation Act. The features of the modern stage of communication and functioning of information in it and manipulation of it with the purpose of hostile influence on the conscientiousness of the communicators are characterized. The harmful effects of the hybrid information war have been pointed out. Separate opinions have been expressed on the provisions of the bills under discussion.
