Стаття відкриває нізку спільно тематичних публікацій, які мають окреслити сучасний стан збереженності та чиники руйнації історично важливих об’єктів культурної спадщини об’єктів – фортифікацій. Спираючись на натурні дослідження фортець та доступні цифрові матеріали, автор виводить причино-наслідковий алгоритм руйнації виокремлених 11 об’єктів дослідження. Опис стану збереженності містить загальний опис території та об’єктів фортифікації, виявлені втрати.
