Application of algorithmic models of machine learning to the freight transportation process

The results of the analysis of algorithmic models of machine learning application to the freight transportation process are given in this paper. Analysis of existing research allowed discovering a range of advantages in the application of computational intelligence in logistic systems, including increasing the accuracy of forecasting, reduction of transport costs, increasing the efficiency of cargo delivery, risks reduction, and search for key performance factors. In the research process, the main directions of application of algorithmic models of machine learning were determined.

Methodical Approaches to Determining the Priority Directions of Transportation of Railway Rolling Stock Operators in the Field of Freight

In recent years decrease in volumes for all types, except imports by types of freight transporta- tion by the railways of Ukraine. The article is devoted to the problem of ensuring mutually beneficial cooperation between cargo owners and freight carriers in the  field of railway transportation in Ukraine. The purpose of the article is to determine the priorities in the area of servicing freight owners by Ukrainian railways to ensure the validity of relevant management decisions by the railway rolling stock operators.

Formation of Information Support for the Development of Freight Transportation of Jsc “Ukrzaliznytsya”

A methodical approach to the formation of indicators of the information base of management decisions on the development of freight JSC “Ukrzaliznytsia”, which consists in calculating the taxonomy of the level of development of freight by substantiating systems and its elements: eighteen static systems, elements of which are six regional railways; seven dynamic systems — regional branches and in general JSC “Ukrzaliznytsia”. A spatial and temporal comparison of the development of freight transportation of selected systems is carried out.

Modeling in the Field of Freight Transportation: Ambivalence of Management Decisions in the Conditions of Quarantine Restrictions and Economic Competition

The study focuses on the ambiguity of management decisions in conditions of economic competition and quarantine restrictions. It is concluded that in the field of freight transportation there are antagonistic interests of the environment in the process of making management decisions by managers of JSC “Ukrzaliznytsia”. The classification of information situations related to the uncertainty of the environment is used, according to which the fifth information situation most closely corresponds to the current situation in the market of transport services.

The COVID-19 pandemic has changed not only the lives of many people, but also the situation in global and local markets. Worldwide, there has been a significant reduction in production capacity due to the closure of borders between countries and the introduction of self-isolation. The spread of the epidemic disrupted the usual trade relations between producers and consumers, caused serious changes in the activities of logistics companies.

Specificity of the Formation of a Strategy for the Development of National Road Carriers

The development of road transport enterprises is in the interests of many shareholders, so the studying of theoretical, methodological and applied aspects of strategy formation is extremely important. The aim of the article is to study the general macroeconomic trends on the Freight market and systematize theoretical approaches in the context of identifying specific industry strategies. The methodological basis is a quantitative and qualitative analysis of the strategic opportunities of motor transport enterprises.
