THE EVOLUTION OF APPROACHES TO THE PRESERVATION OF ARCHAEOLOGICAL RELICS OF ARCHITECTE: A REVIEW OF INTERNATIONAL DOCUMENTS

Archaeological sites are non-renewable resources of global significance, containing material evidence of the past. International documents and charters have played a crucial role in shaping the principles of archaeological heritage preservation. This study examines the theoretical foundations of archaeological site conservation as outlined in international documents and charters from the 20th and 21st centuries, which contribute to the evolving ethics of interventions in archaeological sites.

ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE AND LEGISLATION ACTIVITIES ON THE PROTECTION OF MONUMENTS IN EASTERN HALICHINA DURING THE AUSTRIAN-HUNGARIAN PERIOD

The article examines the stages of formation of the organizational structure and legislative foundations of monument protection activities in Eastern Galicia during the Austro-Hungarian period against the background of national processes. It is shown that the formation of the organizational structure in Eastern Galicia took place synchronously with the processes in Vienna and was controlled from the center. However, the peculiarity was that at the end of the 19th century.

WOOD IN WORKS OF ART AND ARCHITECTURE, HISTORY OF USE AND PROBLEMS OF CARE

Wood is a material used to create works of art, architecture and has been known to people for thousands of years. In Ukraine there is a huge number of outstanding works of architectural, art, decorative, sacred, industrial and utilitarian nature. Significant efforts are being made by conservation and museum workers to preserve and care for such works. The article provides information about the history of using wood to create works of art and architecture.

A CASTLE IN A STATE OF LONG-TERM RUIN AND MEASURES AIMED AT ITS PRESERVATION

In the article, the definitions “castle in a state of long-term ruin” and “architectural revitalization” are given. A list of measures aimed at preserving architectural monuments from the standpoint of their application on castles in a state of long-term ruin is considered.

HISTORICAL FORTIFICATIONS IN THE ARCHITECTURAL AND URBAN PLANNING STRUCTURE OF LVIV (ON MARGINES DOCUMENTATION "HISTORICAL AND ARCHITECTURAL REFERENCE PLAN OF LVIV")

Ancient city fortifications are one of the specific types of defensive architecture. Along with the buildings of castles, blocks of urban residential development, monastery complexes and field defensive structures, they formed a special type of architectural and urban planning objects. During their construction, the skills of both an architect, builder, and military engineer were often combined. Not so many objects of urban defense architecture have come down to our time.

THE PROBLEM OF CASTLE RUINS CONSERVATION WITHIN THE RESTORATION ACTIVITIES FORMATION

The article reveals the history of the restoration activity formation on the example of the
castle ruins restoration in Ukraine and Europe during the 19th-20th centuries.
Castles have been constantly transforming since their foundation. Each subsequent
owner of the castle strengthened it, restored it after its destruction, made changes to the building
architecture. And in the 19th century, an understanding of the value of such architectural objects

The article is studying the role and place of art in shaping the spiritual and functional space of the cemetery and the church in the conditions of moral and religious chaos. The study is based on the study of historical monuments and newly built church complexes in Galicia. In particular, the dynamics of the coexistence of church and cemetery in large cities, as well as in historic towns and villages are considered.

RESTORATION OF STONE ART WORKS - CHALLENGES AND ANSWERS

Today the Department of Architecture and Restoration of Lviv Polytechnic National University conducts training of art restorers at educational and qualification levels: bachelor's and master's degrees. The scientific direction of the department - "development of the theory and practice of regeneration and reconstruction of historical urban complexes and restoration of architectural objects and works of art" is aimed at solving scientific problems in two branches - architectural and artistic. As for restoration, the main focus is stone restoration.

CONSERVATION OF MEMORIAL MONUMENTS AT HISTORICAL CEMETERIES - CHALLENGES AND PERSPECTIVES

The article analyzes the main restoration problems facing the restorer when working with memorial monuments at the historical cemetery. The method of solving these problems is offered on the example of diploma works of students of the specialty "Stone art works conservation" of the Architecture and Conservation Department of "Lviv Polytechnic". NTSH Museum in lviv (1912–1939): Scientific-Fund Work

This article based on the analysis of literature and archival sources, followed the main stages of the development and formation of one of the largest museum institutions of Lviv and Galicia to 1939 – Museum of the scientific society named after Shevchenko in Lviv. Dedicated 1912–1920 years – the period from the time when the Museum of the Shevchenko scientific society received a separate room for the museum fund collections became public, the public museum institution, until the end of The First World War and the Ukrainian liberation competitions.
