Digital transformation planning plays an important role because it ensures the efficient functioning of the company in conditions of increasing competition and dynamic external environments. Efficient operations cannot be achieved without optimizing internal business processes and reducing operational costs. Therefore, it is expedient to implement a system of strategic digital planning for the purpose of economic growth in the context of expanding foreign economic activity. The purpose of this study is to develop recommendations for planning digital transformation at the enterprise level in the context of the development of new forms of international e-commerce.
The main research methods used include data collection, evaluation, analysis, comparison, and interpretation.
Several specific objectives were set during the study:

  1. To analyze the current state and trends in digital commerce;
  2. To identify the main challenges of digital integration at the enterprise;
  3. To provide targeted recommendations for improving digital infrastructure in the context of international economic activity.

The goal of managers during digital transformation is to integrate technologies that ensure continuous process improvement, reduce inefficiencies, and increase customer value. The introduction of digital solutions is a long-term investment that enables cost control and process automation without significant financial costs at the early stage.
A core concept of digital transformation is value creation through every stage of interaction with the client. This involves reengineering traditional business processes to achieve transparency, speed, and flexibility. The enterprise must evaluate its customer journey map (CJM), identifying weak points and aligning touchpoints with digital tools that support decision-making, user interaction, and customer loyalty.
One of the key success factors in digitalization is the active engagement of employees and departments in the transformation process, as they are directly involved in value-creating activities. Building a digital-first culture and enhancing digital skills across the company is essential.
In order to successfully implement a digital transformation project, the following steps must be taken:

  • –Step 1: Define the digital transformation framework and assign responsibilities;
  • –Step 2: Analyze and design the customer journey map and digital value streams;
  • –Step 3: Develop and pilot innovative digital tools and platforms;
  • –Step 4: Scale successful solutions and establish performance monitoring indicators.

The cost of digitalization is relatively low compared to the long-term benefits. The transition does not necessarily require large capital investments but rather a shift in strategic focus and systematic process development. The timeframe of digital transformation depends on leadership commitment, employee readiness, and the existing corporate culture. However, it is important to remember that digital transformation is a continuous process of technological and organizational improvement that never truly ends.
