Machine learning for the analysis of quality of life using the World Happiness Index and Human Development Indicators

Machine learning algorithms play an important role in analyzing complex data in research across various fields.  In this paper, we employ multiple regression algorithms and statistical techniques to investigate the relationship between objective and subjective quality of life indicators and reveal the key factors affecting happiness at the international level based on data from the Human Development Index and the World Happiness Index covering the period from 2015 to 2021.  The Pearson correlation analysis showed that happiness is related to the HDI score and GNI per capita.  The best-perfo


The paper deals with the urgent issue of improving the professional software for text statistical analysis in accordance with the needs of specialists. Peculiarities and prospects of statistical research in linguistics are analyzed and information technology (IT) for determining the statistical profile of Ukrainian-language texts is developed. Complex work on modelling the software system was carried out, it was presented in the corresponding schemes and diagrams, which integrally reflect the functioning and purpose of the developed product.

Estimation of socio-economic development of districts in Lviv region: the cluster approach

This article provides a cluster analysis of the socio-economic status and development of districts in Lviv region for a period of five years. The indicators that have the highest impact on cluster formation are detected. The author proposes an approach which can serve as a basis for developing effective territory management tools based on statistical analysis of socio-economic indicators.

Method for detecting short-term displacements of the Earth's surface by statistical analysis of GNSS time series

Short-term geodynamic displacements of the Earth's surface are studied insufficiently because the unambiguous identification of such geodynamic processes is quite a difficult task. Short-term geodynamic processes can be observed by considering GNSS time series lasting up to 2 months. The coordinate displacements are visually almost unnoticeable comparing annual time series. In this work, an algorithm based on the results of statistical analysis of time series of several GNSS stations on purpose to find simultaneous displacements of the Earth's surface is developed.

Statistical analysis of full-scale observations of the state spillway dam hydroelectric power station

One of the most important and complex tasks in studying the causes and patterns of the deformation characteristics of spillway dams is to study the relationships between these characteristics and various environmental factors, as well as the mechanism of the deformations themselves. In such cases, usually resort to imitation models that interpret the phenomenon of deformation of the dam and linking the parameters of the external environment with the results of observations of dam displacements.

Regularities of subsurface waters’ levels dynamics and factors of its forming in the Dnipropetrovsk regions’ territory

The analysis of long-term observations of the groundwaters’ levels and characteristics of space, meteorological, hydrological and geodynamic factors shaping mode at the territory of Dnipropetrovsk region is executed. The estimation of correlation parameters of hydrogeodynamic regime is carried out. In the investigated many years’ time series the basic rhythms of oscillations are revealed which is the base of forecast of subsurface waters’ mode.

Empirical investigation of the theory of production function, with the data of alloy production in Ukraine

In this research, a mathematical form of production function is investigated, which is a concept of microeconomics theory, with the actual data from the factory in Dnepropetrovsk Region of Ukraine, which produces the alloys from several input materials.

Comparison of different ways of determination of porosity coefficient of terrigenous collectors with regard to clayness according to acoustic logging data

The different ways of determination of coefficient of open porosity of terrigenous collectors with regard clayness according to acoustic logging. Coefficients of porosity in these ways and petrophysical relationships were compared with the results of study of core material. For comparison of determined values of porosity coefficient the apparatus of mathematical statistics was used in order to systematize the information received and to estimate the distributions characteristics of this value.

Analysis of the influence of geological structure of the rocks to the characteristics of the landslides

Purpose. The purpose of these studies is to analyze the influence of geological structure, including engineering geological zoning, morphological features of relief to the characteristics of landslides and their subsequent statistical analysis to identify the impact of external factors to the complex conditions of formation of landslides. Worked out inventory of landslides Transcarpathian and Chernivtsi regions that contain information about the spatial database and features of 3458 landslides. Methods.
