Using Big Data for the Construction of an Intelligent Region

The modern world is characterized by a growth in the amount of data generated and collected. “Big data” provides opportunities for improving life and efficiency in various spheres. Creating smart cities where technology enhances the quality of life and service efficiency is an important direction in the use of big data. However, the use of digitization should not only concern places with a high population density. The answer to the challenge of digitizing populated areas of small size but relatively high population density is the creation of an intelligent region.

THE VISUAL HERITAGE OF VADYM SHCHERBAKIVSKYI IS THE PRIMARY SOURCE FOR THE STUDY OF THE GENESIS OF UKRAINIAN SACRED CONSTRUCTION, FOLK ART AND ETHNOGRAPHY (BASED ON ARCHIVAL MATERIALS OF THE INSTITUTE OF NATIONAL ACADEMY OF SCIENCES OF UKRAINE)

Photographs and negatives of V. Scherbakivskyi are an important source for studying the genesis of Ukrainian sacred construction, architecture, folk art, and ethnography. They are the basis for the restoration of the artistic tradition, remain relevant, and go far beyond the boundaries of historiographical discourse.

SCHOOLS OF FOLK TEMPLE BUILDING, TYPES AND GROUPS OF CARPATHIAN CHURCHES

The author has identified four schools of folk temple construction along the Carpathian region (viz. Boiko, Hutsul, Lemko and Transcarpathian ones). Within the borders of Boiko historio-ethnographical massif there have been 2 types and 3 groups of churches, 1 type and 1 group have been spread in Hutsul land, 8 types in Lemko area. 8 groups of temples have been known within the borders of Transcarpathian historio-geographical region.

Features of Zakarpattya railways stations architecture

The clear majority of railway stations and passenger facilities of Transcarpathia are historical, reasonably provide the  needs of transportation and reflect interaction between different geographic, technical, temporal, political, stylistic, and  other factors of their formation. They represent an important part of the architectural heritage of the region and therefore  require professional study, protection and adjust to the needs of the recent time. 

Traditional folk clothing as a source of study and promotion of Zakarpattya cultural heritage

In the article the question is about traditional folk clothes as important source of study and popularization of cultural legacy of Zakarpattya. An author is select basic aspects for finding out of authenticity of which clothes are a valuable source. It the ethnographic districting of edge, influences of nearby people, and also features of culture of local population.

Geodynamics, tectonics and seismicity of Carpathian region of Ukraine

Purpose. The purpose of researches – to analyze the characteristics of modern geodynamics, tectonics and seismicity of Carpathian region of Ukraine and its components – the Folded Carpathians, Transcarpathians and Precarpathians. Methodology. The methodology includes a detailed complex analysis of the deep structure and seismotectonic activity in the region and its separate zones on the basis of specially developed methods of refinement the coordinates and depth of local earthquakes sources and complex of geological and geophysical data. Results.

Reflection of local, regional and global seismotectonic process in deformations of rocks of active tectonic structures and earthquake prognosis

Multiscale pre-, co- and post-seismic deformation processes from the local, regional and strongest world's earthquakes in the Earth lithosphere according to the extenzometric measurements on the short quarts extensometer of RGS “Beregove” in Ukrainian Transcarpathians are considered. Some features of the propagation of such strains in the Eurasia lithosphere are traced.

Dynamics of postseismic tectonic deformations

Aim. The purpose of researches – continuous monitoring observations of geophysical fields, determined by the need of fundamental and applied geophysics and geology for reliable and detailed regional data on the behavior in time and space components of geophysical fields generic modern dynamics of the earth's crust, especially in seismically active regions. Such data are also needed to evaluate the durability and reliability of critical and dangerous geological and geotechnical hazards.
