The terms creation is a purposeful process that takes into consideration a system relations in a particular industry, this is a planned creative process caused by the interaction of internal and external linguistic factors. The terms appear in the professional environment and use them only as a function of term.
The word creative organization Ukrainian terms of museum, including terms established in suffixal way are investigated in the article. The suffix is considered as one of the most productive morphological ways of creating both a commonly used language units and terms of vocabulary. Suffixal way is to connect to the derivational suffixes root by means of which a linguistic unit with a new concept may occur or linguistic units formed in this way express only certain shades of the original root meaning.
Since most Ukrainian Museum terms are nouns, thus mostly researchers pay attention to their creation. Terms-nouns formed in suffixal way are divided into derivatives, motivated by the basis of nouns, verbs and adjectives.
Among the derivatives, motivated by the basis of noun the following types are singled out: noun basis + suffix -nyk; noun basis + suffix -n-yc (ja); noun basis + suffix -stv (o) -tstv (o).
Derivatives motivated by the basis of verbs are formed by the means of the following types: verb basis + the suffix -nn (ja). Derivatives of this type are most timing-verbal museum nouns with a total value subject of action (process). They point at a specific one-time action, long process (process value processing of primary documents, movement in space, time duration, effect on the value of "reproduction, increase a number," etc.).
Less productive types are: verb basis + the suffix -nyk; verb basis + the suffix -k (a); verb basis + the suffix -ach; verb basis + the suffix -tel'. Note that there is a small number of the museum terms on -tel in the modern Ukrainian terminology.
Among derivatives motivated by the basis of adjective in terminology of museum only one productive type is revealed: adjective basis + the suffix -ist'.
Word-formative analysis of Ukrainian terminology of museum shows that suffixal derivation formants participating in the creation of terms are quite numerous. Joining mainly to the noun, verb and adjectival basis, they form term units to describe different concepts of museum.
