Gender linguistics terminology as a system

The article focuses on the discussion of hyperhyponymy in the gender linguistics terminology. The systemacity as one of the main characteristics of the term is pointed out, the concepts of terminology and terminology systems are analyzed. It is noted that the hyponymic paradigm is one of the most important categories which form terminological structures. Among the mentioned hyponomic groupsthe two- and multilevel structures, the presence of which is one of the important grounds for the classification of gender linguistics terminology as a category of systems, are allocated.

Latin terminology as a source of the Ukrainian term museum foundation

The article deals with question of Latin lexicon as an integral component of museum staff professional language. Peculiarities of prepositive and postpositive components of Latin origin in the language of the recipient are determined. The most common terms are outlined. These terms coined by using components of Latin origin. Their semantics and formal structure are analyzed.

Military terminology in the novel by Yurii Shcherbak “Weapons of doomsday”

“Weapons of doomsday” – this is a documentary-fantastic novel about the alleged reproduction of rocket-nuclear weapons at a time, when the fare of Ukraine is being solved. This was facilitated by the use of modern military terms and nominations. They are the subject of the analysis in the article.

The palette of the automotive paint nomenclature: structure, semantics and pragmatics

The nomenclature and nomination processes of naming and producing technical color nomens of automotive paints based on secondary nomination and transonymization are investigated. The main and most numerous groups of the automotive paint nomenclature are systematized and considered in detail, motivational aspects of nominating such items, as well as their structure, semantic field, and pragmatic frequency of using are determined.

A words with the electro- component in the modern Ukrainian literary language

The article deals with the words with the electro- component in the Ukrainian language. Fixation of such tokens in lexicographic works of different time slices is traced. Thematic groups of such words are identified, their belonging to different scientific fields, and also tracing the dynamics of changes in the semantic structure – its narrowing or expansion – some terms. Such words are compared with their counterparts in other Slavic languages.

Problems of the concept “mixture” interpretation and compatible terms in the educational literature

The problem of scientific accuracy of term “mixture” and corrersponding terms (“homogeneous mixture”, “heterogeneous mixture”, “homogeneous mixture”, “heterogeneous mixture”, “dispersed systems”) application in Ukrainian chemical literature for general education and higher education institutions is considered in the article.

Medical time as a medicine of lexical expression of the text category “informativity”

Examined the medical term in the aspect of modern text theory. Described its potential capabilities in expressing the text category “Informativness”, which creates the national language picture of the world and reflects the specifics of the scientific thinking of Ukrainians.

Medical terms with components derm-, derma-, derm(o)-, dermat(o)- and shkira (skin) in modern Ukrainian language

Ukrainian medical terms-composites with international components derm-, derma-, derm(o)-, dermat(o)- and the Ukrainian equivalents on the somatic notions shkira (skin) have been studied in the article. The problem of their interchange has been raised. Their productivity and word formation mobility have been defined. The outlook of the research is that the terms with somatic components need further studying concerning determination of their productivity and mobility.
