Investigation of Collaboration Between IT Companies and Universities in Workforce Ramp-UP

The article examines the theoretical and practical aspects of developing cooperation between IT companies and higher education institutions in the process of training highly qualified personnel. In the context of the emerging knowledge economy, the role of intellectual capital and the efficiency of its use in the innovative activities of enterprises is increasing. It is noted that the rapid development of information technologies creates new requirements for the professional training of specialists, necessitating updates to educational content, an increase in the practical component of learning, and the integration of education, science, and business.
An analysis of scientific approaches to understanding partnership relations between enterprises and universities is conducted, and the essence of relationship marketing in the context of educational and industrial cooperation is revealed. The main forms of interaction between IT companies and universities are outlined, including dual education, student internships, joint educational programs, research laboratories, hackathons, and educational initiatives based on companies such as EPAM, SoftServe, GlobalLogic, and Genesis. The stages of personnel selection in IT companies are considered, allowing for the identification of market requirements for the competencies of future specialists.
The main barriers to effective cooperation are identified, including bureaucratic restrictions in universities, financial dependence, slow modernization of educational programs, shortcomings in the regulatory framework, and differences in partner priorities. It is argued that overcoming these problems is possible through the implementation of flexible partnership mechanisms, the creation of joint educational and research centers, the use of EdTech platforms, and the development of dual education.
The research results have practical significance for forming strategies of interaction between business and educational institutions with the aim of training competitive IT specialists capable of working effectively in the conditions of the digital transformation of the economy.
